WHO WE ARE

Wings of Grace is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado and is a faith-based counseling center committed to helping the whole person–mind, body, and soul.

Founded in 1986 originally as a church body, Wings of Grace was transformed in 1993 to meet the needs of the community by offering a variety of counseling services. Wings of Grace has grown and expanded to accommodate over 150 clients per week from all over the United States.

Currently, there are 10 on-staff caring and highly trained therapists with a variety of specialties ranging from marriage and family to mood and eating disorders.

Wings of Grace now offers video and phone sessions in addition to in-office appointments.

DR. MICHAEL BIRD

Michael Bird is the Founder and President of Wings of Grace Counseling Services. Wings of Grace Counseling Services is a 501(C)(3), non-profit organization, dedicated to serving the counseling needs of individuals and families in a variety of situations. Along with other therapists with unique specialities who have joined with Dr. Bird, Wings of Grace seeks to bring healing and growth to all ages from the youngest of children to the elderly.

Dr. Bird has been a licensed Marriage and Family therapist since 1994. Prior to becoming a licensed therapist, Dr. Bird served in a variety of pastoral positions, first as a youth pastor, then as an associate pastor, and eventually as a senior pastor for over 20 years. In 1996, Dr. Bird received a Doctor of Ministry degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Denver Seminary. Dr. Bird had previously received his Master of Divinity degree in 1977, also from Denver Seminary.
