Rachel Stiff

Rachel Stiff has 20 years of experience in mental health (15 of which are practicing psychotherapy) working with individuals and families that include: private practice working with women and marital couples, intensive outpatient therapy with adolescents, five years working in the foster care system, in-home family therapy, in the schools providing therapy, acute and residential treatment, working in an agency for survivors of domestic violence, and conducting assessments in a psychiatric facility.

Therapy isn't the question,“So how do you feel about that?” To Rachel Stiff, therapy is about addressing the whole person, including their relationships, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. As an experiential therapist with a systemic treatment view, she first focuses on the relationship with the client. We all want to be unconditionally accepted for who we are and the season of life we are in. Her collaborative approach helps clients to feel at ease as she helps to guide the changes people want to make in their life. She is excited to have the privilege of helping others in their journey.

Rachel has found that many times symptoms will decrease when relationships are healed. We are meant to live, not just merely exist.

Each person/family is unique, so therefore her approach is integrative, based on the needs presented. Rachel Stiff enjoys what she gets to do, and she is passionate about the healing and restoration of lives.

Rachel Stiff works with women on issues including depression, anxiety, Bipolar, OCD, history of abuse, self-worth/image issues, stress and anger management, and relationship problems. She also provides couples therapy for a variety of relationship issues. Lastly, she works with adolescents on behavior issues, depression, history of sexual and physical abuse, and family relationships. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies from Kansas State University, a Master of Science Degree in Family Therapy, honor societies due to her academic work, a license in both Kansas and Colorado as an LMFT, experience traveling overseas working with other cultures, serving at her church and community, and her work experience with over 20 years now in the mental health field, she knows she is walking in her purpose of ministry through the tool of psychotherapy. She considers it a sacred privilege to be able to journey alongside others to help them have healing, healthy relationships, purpose, and joy in life.
