Lisa received her undergraduate degree at Oral Roberts University in 1996, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Pastoral Counseling.  She received her Masters at Chapman University in 2000, in Psychology with an emphasis on marriage, family, and child counseling.

Lisa worked at Focus on the Family in the Counseling Department from 1996-2000 as an Administrative Assistant while she worked on her Masters.  Besides doing individual and couple counseling at Wings of Grace, she leads a small group for teenagers who are moms at the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center. She started this group with a couple of other leaders three years ago to provide a place for these young moms to connect with other girls in their situation.  Our goal is to give them support, encouragement, and teach them about God’s unconditional love.

Her passion is to help women of all ages to have a positive self-image and to realize who they are in Christ.  She enjoys doing pre-marital counseling because it is a great way to help couples start with a solid foundation.  She loves to help married couples learn how to have healthy communication and how to respect one another.  It grieves her to see how many Christian marriages have been broken and she longs to help couples who are willing to fight for their marriages and to keep their families together.

Lisa and her husband, Jasen,  are Colorado natives.  She has known Jasen for 22 years, and has been married to him for 12 years.   She met him when she was in the eighth grade.  They have two beautiful children, one boy and one girl, who are in elementary school.  Her children are challenging at times, but overall they bring a lot of joy to her life.

Lisa enjoys scrapbooking, decorating cakes, and watching movies.  She also loves to decorate and organize her home.  She is blessed to have the majority of her family and her husband’s family in town, so they get together often for events and celebrations.
