Charity Richardson spent the last 5 years providing acute psychiatric care to individuals and families in crisis at Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She specializes in working with children, adolescents and young adults. As the Education Director, Charity provided holistic care of children, adolescents and their families in academics, family life, parenting, healthy living and social skills. She closely works with families in developing a treatment plan that meets the needs of the whole family. Charity also specializes in working with neurobehavioral disorders, commonly characterized by impulsive, explosive rage episodes in individuals.

As the Service Excellence trainer, Charity provided valuable training to hospital staff and the community in working with acute psychiatric clients. She provided seminars for teachers and counselors in the Missouri State School Counseling Association developing treatment options for children and adolescents in the school system. Charity highly encourages respect, compassion and healthy support for those struggling with mental and emotional health. 

Charity has been active with her church youth group for five years. As a youth counselor, she supports teens in spiritual formation and discipleship. One of her greatest passions is raising up the next generation as emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically healthy individuals who can contribute to our society. She has a passion for mentoring and leadership development. Charity also teaches a woman’s bible study group, investing in the lives of women across all generations.

Charity Richardson will complete her MA in Counseling at Colorado Christian University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in Psychology and Biology. As a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist, her treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. With sensitivity and compassion, she helps clients find solutions to a wide range of life’s challenges and psychological issues. Blending conventional and alternative approaches, Charity draws on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client.  Her goal is to help each client build on their strengths and to identify and achieve life goals.
